In 6 short months, I have gone from looking forward to a Hillary Clinton presidency to hoping to God it never comes to be. Convinced I was that not only was she the inevitable democratic nominee but also convinced no republican could win after the disaster that has been the Bush administration. Now however, I see her true nature. Her ability to lie more often than her husband. Her way of attacking her opponents and then playing the victim when the attacks are turned back on her. From “dodging” sniper fire (you don’t misspeak about something that never happened!) to telling false stories of tragedy on the campaign trail. This campaign has shown me the true nature of the Clintons. They are pathological liars just like Bush and his cronies.
They are also masters at parsing, changing the rules when they don’t like the game and now they are masters of the space time continuum! (From the last link)
In Eugene, Ore., Saturday. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., attempted to change the measure by which anyone might assess who criticized the Iraq war first, her or Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., by saying those keeping records should start in January 2005, when Obama joined the Senate. (A measure that conveniently avoids her October 2002 vote to authorize use of force against Iraq at a time that Obama was speaking out against the war.) She claimed that using that measure, she criticized the war in Iraq before Obama did.
Read the whole article and you will see that even by using her way, she still gets her facts wrong (and by “getting her facts wrong” I mean she flat out lies AGAIN!). I am convinced that she is the last person we need in the White House following the Bush disaster. We’ve had 8 years of lies that have seen this country go from vibrant to disaster, we have to do better than Hillary Clinton.
Now I am no Barack Obama fan and I’m certainly no John McCain fan but either one of those two would be a better choice. I for one am hoping (by default) that it is Obama that wins come November. He gives a great speech but deep down he is just another politician. I hold no delusions that most of Obama’s promises and ideas will reach their fruition but he will do a better job than Clinton certainly and McCain offers much the same as we have seen from the last 8 years under the Bush fiasco and that my friends, is the second to last thing this country needs.
